Review By Shannon Kidd
My husband, young daughter, and I attended our first Ambrosia concert this past June and became instant fans. Ambrosia entertained Springfield, Illinois concert goers with their music acoustic style and did not disappoint.
Hits from the past included "Biggest Part of Me," "How Much I Feel," and "You're the Only Woman." Ambrosia wowed the crowd when they played The Beatles' hit song "Magical Mystery Tour." We've enjoyed many concerts featuring popular bands from the 70's and 80's, but we were really impressed with Ambrosia. Their voices were still fresh, solid, and just all around awesome. Their harmonies were wonderful, music energetic, all sung notes impressively reached.
Each member was a huge contributor, and each seemed to really enjoy being on stage. It was refreshing to see the entire band relaxed and at ease. They didn't bring egos into their performance. We had the opportunity to meet the band members after the concert. They are the type of people you'd like to just "hang out" with. It was an unique, memorable moment for our family. We walked away feeling great, songs in our heads (even now), and a new (autographed) CD "Standing Room Only." It's been our favorite CD ever since. By listening to the CD, our daughter has learned to roll her "r's" like Joe Puerta (a very cool sound).
We would travel far to see Ambrosia in concert again and again. They are a talented bunch of musicians that deliver a hell of a show.
Nice, nice, very nice! Shannon and Bob Kidd.
